  1. Another good reason to keep using RSVP-TE is that, unless your SR-TE policy uses only ADJ-SID, SR-traffic following a node-SID is subject to microloops as well as plane IGP-routed traffic does. So, if your network topology has a good chanche of microloops and your SR-TE policy contains Node-SID then you are subject to microloops (i.e. loops far from the Point of Local Repair that last the IGP-convergence time) that can be severe with links at say 400Ge.

  2. And the efficacy of microloop avoidance algorithms is yet to be demonstrated. Plus, it's a very proprietary territory. Some operators don't even switch it on as the issue is not perceived properly - that's my gut feeling.
