2018 was our busiest year ever… we created or updated 19 webinars, for a total of 32 live webinar sessions.

We wrapped up the 2018 webinars with Storage December featuring Hyper-Converged Infrastructure with Howard Marks and NVMe-over-Fabrics with J Metz (I never thought I would enjoy storage technology discussions, but Howard and J were brilliant)… and this is what we’ve been doing the rest of the year:

• We started with intent-based networking;
• Choose the Optimal VPN Service webinar got a total overhaul;
• David Barroso talked about network device state validation with NAPALM;
• Dinesh Dutt had a 5-part EVPN saga covering everything from basics to distributed routing;
• Elisa Jasinska and Paolo Lucente completed their Network Visibility with Flow Data series;
• Lukas Krattiger and myself talked about multi-pod and multi-site fabrics;
• We discussed whether it’s better to use VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, or EVPN with copious help from Mitja Robas;
• Christoph Jaggi did an overview of transport security and Ethernet encryptors;
• I described numerous real-life automation solutions created by attendees of Building Network Automation Solutions online course;
• In late August I finally got around to talking about SDDC basics and added Making Sense of Software-Defined World in October;
• Pradosh Mohapatra introduced SD-WAN concepts and architectures;
• We started Math-in-Networking series with Rachel Traylor. So far we covered the basics of graphs and reliability theory;
• It was time to update the old VMware NSX Architecture webinar. I started with NSX-V deep dive, Matthias Luft will talk about attacking NSX-T in January 2019, and I’ll do a NSX-T deep dive later in 2019;
• Another “it was high time” webinar was the AWS Networking Deep Dive series. We’ll conclude it in February 2019, and continue exploring Azure and GCP in second half of 2019.
• Dinesh Dutt did an interesting 2-part webinar on network observability;
• In late November I ran another data center fabrics update, this time focusing on market overview and new hardware (as I consider software from most data center switching vendors feature-complete);
