All the Best in 2016!

The number of visits to my web site is slowly going down – you’re giving me a very clear signal that it’s time to stop blogging.

I hope you’ll manage to catch at least a few quiet days with your loved ones and I wish you all the best in 2016!

More in 3 weeks or so ;)

I must say the site and blog are not functioning very well lately. There are times (and often) when it is loading about 5 minutes and is looking like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22418693/ipspace.png

    1. Can't say I've ever experienced that, and I visit every day.
    2. The screenshot you included indicates that the CSS file didn't load properly. That one is loaded from CloudFlare, so it means you have connectivity problems with the nearest CloudFlare data center. Not much I can do about that (apart from turning off CloudFlare caching, which would reduce the performance for most other visitors).

    4. Even that pure HTML takes about 3-5 minutes to load. Sometimes it's not working at all (there is TCP SYN-ACK but no reply to HTTP request). Maybe there is a problem with blogger.com platform. I'll try other sites on this platform when there is a problem with ipspace.net

Just thought that may justify the drop in visits.

      P.S. I am from Russia.
    5. That looks like a problem with the local Google data center. Probably nothing to do with the fact that they run their internal network on OpenFlow ;)
    6. No problems here from Canada either - I also visit every weekday
  5. Wish you all the best Ivan. Let the light guide us in the Darkness also next year and many years after....
  6. Have a great holiday Ivan! Best wishes & look forward to reading you in the new year.
  7. Happy Holiday's Ivan.
  8. Happy Holiday's Ivan.
  9. Over the last few years your blog posts have helped me immensely. A big thank you. Happy Holiday's.
  10. A merry christmas and a prosperous new year to you to. The "clear message" you speak of isn't coming from your regular readers I'm sure, as your blog is always a fascinating and educational read.

I hate to say it, but maybe you just need some more marketing - the content is fresh and relevant, but many engineers and architects I've spoken to somehow have never visited your blog - those that do always say they wish they'd discovered it years ago!
  11. Year end is the busiest time for engineers to catch crazy deadlines. Will be counting on your blog to keep me posted on whatever networking fads in years to come!
Merry X'mas & Happy New Year to you all!
